Erling Haaland to receive huge bonuses from Man City as he aims to achieve all add-ons in his first season

Erling Haaland might get a £5 million prize if he assists the current leaders Manchester City to win the Treble. When he transferred from Borussia Dortmund last year, the remarkable striker's deal comprised several substantial payouts depending on how well he does.

The champions have had a remarkable season and this implies that the 22-year-old Norwegian, Erling Haaland, will earn a lot of money in addition to a bunch of medals. If Manchester City win the Premier League and the Champions League, Haaland could earn about £1 million for each trophy. Additionally, if City beats Manchester United in the FA Cup final, Haaland will receive another £350,000.

Haaland will also earn bonuses if he is successful in various end-of-season awards. He has already secured some of these awards as he has set a new record for Premier League goals in a season and will finish as the top scorer. He is also in the running for other awards such as PFA Player of the Year, Football Writers’ Player of the Year, and making the PFA Team of the Year.

City has similar incentives for Kevin De Bruyne, and they prefer to give out large bonuses for success and keep their wage bill under control.

Haaland could also rival Lionel Messi for the Ballon d’Or award this year. The insiders at Etihad claim that this award is worth an additional £1 million payout. Manchester City paid a reasonable amount of £51.4 million for the Norwegian striker and a weekly wage of £375,000 if he played in 60% of the games — which he has done.

It was disclosed last month that Haaland's team is willing to negotiate an improved deal, extending his contract for a further 12 months, which will take his contract to the summer of 2028.
